
Description
The Project Management Associate participates in the execution/project management of alternative investment fund mandates and the sourcing of new prospective clients, with manager oversight. This position assists across multiple asset classes, in support of the marketing of client funds to North American investors.
Associates are primarily responsible for acting as the keystone of all transaction teams, serving as a project manager taking guidance from senior bankers while managing and mentoring Analysts. Associates work on small, client-focused teams within a fast-paced environment. What We're Looking For
- Support the diligence, launch, and project management of Funds.
- Serve as a junior liaison between project management and distribution team.
- Provide general industry research, including industry news updates, geographic and sector review of industries, potential risks, competition, and regulatory changes.
- Interact with/support clients, with oversight to help them achieve their fundraising objectives
- Update key Firm information and materials, with oversight.
- Produce, maintain, and update Fund materials with limited oversight.
- Assist in upkeep/internal distribution of management reports, client reports, meeting notes, call notes, etc.
- Coach, mentor, train Project Management Analysts.
- Contributing to team meetings and discussions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years' of alternative investment experience, with preferably at least 1-3 years' experience working at a Placement Agent or other fundraising role.
- Solid knowledge of financial services.
- Technical understanding of alternative investment products.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with credibility to deal with clients at a senior level and respond to detailed and challenging questions.
- Strong analytical, sales, and marketing instincts.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Required: B.S. or B.A.
Licenses & Credentials
- Minimum Required: FINRA SIE, Series 79 & Series 63
Systems & Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
