Description

The Senior Accountant prepares financial reports and analyzes financial information, analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred in order to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the company and to predict future revenues and expenses. May review and direct the work of other staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.



What We're Looking For

• Prepares monthly profit and loss flux analyses on various accounts.
• Prepares, examines and analyzes records, financial statements and reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Prepares reports used by the Director of External Reporting in the Form 10-K, Form 10Q, quarterly work papers, annual audit reports and Statement of Financial Condition.
• Communicate with other departments regarding accounting functions. Complete monthly reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts.
• Process journal entries associated with assigned general ledger accounts.
• Completes ad hoc requests as needed by Accounting management.
• Provides guidance to Accountants and Associates on their required tasks.



What You'll Bring

• Mastery of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field.
• Must be analytical, detail oriented, and able to use logic and reason to identify solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems.
• Advanced knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other standard office procedures and terminology.
• Advanced analytical skills and reliable mathematical knowledge

 



Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum Required: 4-6 years related experience



Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
