The Sales Center Manager leads Sunstate's centralized Sales Center—a critical component of our go-to-market strategy that blends human connection with digital precision. This role oversees a team of Sales Center Representatives who qualify inbound leads, cultivate start-up accounts, and create a pipeline for long-term growth. The Sales Center Manager ensures performance against key metrics, sharpens sales skills and competencies across the team, provides clear reporting to leadership, and oversees a critical component of revenue generation in our customer mix.
This position is designed for a motivational leader and coach with proven success in sales development or inside sales leadership. The ideal candidate has the ability to connect strategic funnel management with day-to-day team development—helping Sunstate attract, grow, and graduate new talent into Outside Sales while supporting revenue growth across our entry-level customer base.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of hourly Sales Center Representatives (Levels I and II), fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
- Drive achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics related to lead qualification, call activity, account growth, and revenue targets.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to build sales competencies, product knowledge, and customer engagement skills.
- Oversee account management for start-up customers ($0–$25,000 annual revenue), ensuring consistent service and growth into larger accounts.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure alignment of inbound lead management, campaign follow-up, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to support funnel health, pipeline growth, and account transitions into Outside Sales.
- Deliver clear and actionable reporting on team performance, customer activity, and program outcomes.
- Play a key role in Sunstate's recruiting strategy by developing new graduates and early-career professionals within the Sales Center as a proving ground for future Outside Sales opportunities.
- Ensure team adoption and proficiency in Salesforce and other sales technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Sunstate's go-to-market approach by sharing customer insights and field feedback.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in sales development, inside sales, or sales management; B2B or construction-related industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage and coach sales teams to meet and exceed performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of sales funnel management, lead qualification, and pipeline reporting.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales leadership to align on GTM strategies.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and sales productivity tools.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
