The Vendor Manager is responsible for overseeing approved vendor partnerships, supporting the Fleet Operations team and branch locations, and executing administrative tasks to enhance the Fleet Procurement function. This role ensures vendors operate in compliance with contractual agreements and optimizes vendor-related opportunities. The Vendor Manager collaborates closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and branches to maintain strong relationships and drive operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Builds and maintains strong vendor relationships to support business objectives
  • Develops, implements, and manages vendor performance scorecards to ensure compliance with service standards
  • Serve as an advocate for Sunstate in resolving vendor-related issues
  • Negotiates pricing, terms, and conditions that deliver maximum value to the organization
  • Communicates regularly with vendors and branches to ensure timely delivery and quality of products
  • Designs and executes onboarding process for new vendors and product launches to ensure seamless integration

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet purchasing, vendor management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in supply chain management and logistics
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Advanced negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, reporting, and presentation development
  • Highly detail-oriented and data-driven with strong organizational skills
