Your Role:
Tetra Tech's High Performance Building division is currently seeking a full-time Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working on challenging projects of various construction types in a wide range of industry sectors. The successful candidate will work with other Tetra Tech team members in the delivery of company project initiatives related to structural engineering. The ideal candidate enjoys working as a team player in a flexible environment and seeing work followed through during onsite visits. Your contributions will include.
- Collaborate on architectural and multi-discipline design teams, including building design, space planning, code review, building envelope design, sustainability, and detailing for construction documents.
- Interact with both clients and multi-discipline teams in design charrettes work sessions.
- Perform product research, assist project leadership with materials and system evaluations for sustainability, constructability, and value to the client.
- Utilizing modeling software such as Revit to product technical drawings with only minimal assistance.
- Developing BIM management plans and leading the BIM efforts for projects.
- Perform various construction administrative activities such and review of submittals and shop drawings.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture.
- 4+ years of experience as a Design / Project Architect.
- 1+ years of U.S. Federal or DoD consulting experience.
- Understanding of architectural design principles, building systems, and construction methods.
- Possess functional knowledge of the use of Revit software for project production and design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver's license, and ability to travel to client offices and project sites when required.
- Ability to do 10% travel.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred.
- LEED AP is a plus.
- Experience and / or interest in sustainable design desired.
This role can be performed from a wide range of locations throughout the US. The pay range for this position is between $70,000 - $85,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal parity.
