Description

Tetra Tech needs a Construction Manager in Budapest, Hungary for construction project on US Embassy Compound for State Department Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). Requires a US Govt. Secret Security Clearance.
 

The Project

  • Assignment is expected to last 14 months.
  • Housing and transportation allowances provided.

Position Description

  • Provide project with full range of critical engineering and construction management oversight.
  • Provide wide range of construction management functions, including providing OBO leadership with expertise in planning, directing, management, and coordination of project to ensure it meets intended scope, schedule, and cost goals.
  • Coordinate efforts of staff, ensure appropriate safety and accident prevention plan is implemented, assist in planning/scheduling work, ensure any necessary licenses/permits are obtained, coordinate solutions to problems involving work procedures/complaints, and receive/review/track submittals from contractor.
  • Maintain "Daily Project Log", prepare "CM Monthly Report", assist in acquiring/utilizing local construction contractors, develop/maintain inventory, and support OBO's Project Director in all contract administration matters.

Requirements

  • US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
  • US bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
  • 7 years construction experience
  • ABET accredited (not equivalent) international degree accepted in lieu of US Bachelor's
