Project Summary:
The goal of the USAID/OTI Moldova Resilience Initiative (MRI) is to strengthen support for a democratic, European Moldova. USAID/OTI and MSI will work with a coalition of civic, media, and government stakeholders in support of program goals. The program will operate primarily through a small grants mechanism and will rely on ongoing analysis of the local context to inform programming.

Position Summary:
The Creative Hub Photographer will contribute to MRI's efforts to support implementation of strategic communications. The Creative Hub Photographer will provide high-quality visual content capturing public events. The selected candidate will work within public events coverage, by providing photographic creativity, post-production and assure asset management. This is a short-term assignment with an expected level of effort of 109 days. The position will be based in Chisinau, Moldova.
Responsibilities:
- Attend public events featuring press conferences and community engagements.
- Demonstrate artistic and creative flair in capturing images that tell compelling stories.
- Ensure the photographs align with the activity's communication guidelines and branding.
- Conduct post-processing and editing of photographs to enhance image quality, composition, and color balance while maintaining authenticity.
- Provide timely delivery of edited photos to meet communication and publication deadlines.
- Maintain an organized digital library of photographs, ensuring easy retrieval, accessibility, and storage of visual assets.
- Backup and safeguard the photographic data to prevent data loss or damage.
- Maintain familiarity with relevant photo editing software which will be essential for post-processing and retouching tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or another relevant field is required.
- Minimum three years of experience working in the communications field is required.
- Experience with USAID-funded or other international organization projects.
- Familiarity with USAID communications policies is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds is required.
- Ability to work and travel within Moldova is required.
- Fluency in English and Romanian is required.
