Tetra Tech is adding a Document Control Coordinator to our Document Control team based in either Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC.

Your Role:
- Responsible for the Document Control function and ensures that the various document control standards and procedures are followed.
- Records and tracks internal and external distribution of documents.
- Ensures the timely transfer of electronic files to/from engineering consultants, project team, construction team, and contractors/vendors.
- Responsible for data entry and maintenance of internal and external databases.
- Prepares transmittals, scans and files documents, and performs other clerical tasks.
- Responsible for the assignment and control of drawings, new drawing numbers, equipment, instrumentation and line numbers.
- Ensures that all required fields of information on request forms and drawings have been entered correctly.
- Monitors and ensures that engineering processes are being followed.
- Responsible for ensuring that drawings and documents adhere to client standards and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining and distribution of current client standards.
- Performs quality assurance checks on externally distributed records.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a positive client relationship.
- Recommend process improvements and develop work instruction drafts for review and approval as required.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of document control experience.
- Bachelor's degree an asset.
- Experience working in an engineering environment, including reviewing and issuing work packages, reports, drawing requests, and processing vendor documentation, is an asset.
- Experience with SharePoint, ALIM, and Adobe Pro an asset.
- Able to multi-task and manage a varied workload.
- Must be capable of decision-making within defined role and displays strong initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work well within a consultative team-oriented environment.
- Seeks and welcomes support, feedback, and input from others.
- Excellent personal interaction skills; outgoing, confident, and strong personal presentation.
- Self-starter, willing to learn, seeks out opportunities for career and personal development.
