Electrical Engineer, (Hybrid)

Your Role:
· Assist in the design, drafting, and review of power systems for transmission and distribution projects.
· Prepare and update engineering drawings, including single-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, communication diagrams, BOMs, and panel layouts.
· Perform basic protective relay calculations and fault studies under the guidance of senior engineers.
· Support the creation of protective relay settings for transmission and distribution systems.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
· Ensure designs comply with industry standards and project specifications.
· Participate in design reviews to ensure quality and accuracy.
· Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
· Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
· Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
· Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
· 1-6 years of relevant experience in design and drafting for transmission and distribution projects.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience in MicroStation is an asset.
· Familiarity with substations up to 500kV.
· Strong understanding of engineering principles and electrical design standards.
· Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills.
· Enthusiasm for learning and professional growth.
· Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%.
