Your Role: 

Tetra Tech, an industry leader and nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm, is seeking candidates to fill a part-time Stormwater Sampling Technician Position in Aspen, Colorado.  This position requires the successful candidate to collect field samples, complete chain of custody documentation, and prepare samples for shipment to an analytical laboratory.       

Responsibilities: 

• Perform stormwater sampling in compliance with Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) permits.
• Complete stormwater visual monitoring forms in accordance with CDPHE permits. 
• Complete chain of custody documentation for each sampling event
• Package and prepare samples for shipment to analytical laboratories.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive to client sites and transport sampling equipment and coolers.
• Must be detail oriented to properly document field sampling activities, package samples for shipment, and complete chain of custody documents.

Education & Experience: 

• 1 to 4 years environmental science experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Colorado equal pay: The salary range for this position is $50 – 70 per hour depending on experience.
