Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Journeyman Engineer   Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the Implementation of Ground Based Navigation and Lighting Systems into the NAS
  • Provide engineering support for engineering project management under Navigation Programs, Requirements Team
  • Manage and coordinate the NAS Requirements using Corporate Work Plan Portal (CWP) toolset and various customer data bases  
  • Manage oversight for project requirements and implementation activities at the National Level for projects in the Service Areas
  • Develop and coordinate short and long-range implementation plans/schedules, and project site requirements
  • Provide requirements and project status through technical briefings as required
  • Support on site activities as required during system installations 
  • Provide Technical Analysis Expertise and Engineering Support for the Implementation of Navigation and Lighting Systems into the NAS
  • Provide Benefit Cost Analysis for the establishment of a new service
  • Provide and update required requirements documentation
  • Support the maintenance and updates to the Requirement's KSN Site
  • Provide analysis of large amounts of data using Excel, Power BI, and Visual Basics
  • Have knowledge of Airport Facilities, Lighting Systems and Navigation Aids
The successful candidate will have:
  • Must have 4-years of professional engineering, electrical / electronic experience to include user requirement analysis, specification preparation, and test and evaluation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering  (a Master's degree in a principle or related discipline may substitute for 2-years of relevant experience)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and methods 
  • Must possess good oral and written skills
  • The candidate must be self-motivated, organized and committed to achieving their goals and objectives; and, willing to go the extra mile to succeed
  • Able to work independently 
  • Must have a positive attitude and outlook 
  • Must be computer savvy and able to use the Microsoft Office Suite of Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.   Must be proficient with Excel, Visual Basics and PowerBI
  • Must be able to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data relating to projects using customer data bases, Excel, Visual Basics and PowerBI 
  • Must have excellent technical skills
  • Must be able to analyze technical issues that arise during system installations
