The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding a Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Program Manager to support development of LNG and midstream natural gas pipeline projects across the United States. This position will be part of Tetra Tech's Commercial Energy Program that builds and aligns teams to execute and scale with our most strategic clients and will report to the Commercial Energy Program's Senior Vice President.

 

Successful candidates will have a strong technical background and demonstrated leadership experience with LNG developers. This strategic candidate will be responsible for developing and nurturing client relationships, responding to client opportunities, and developing and working with multiple Tetra Tech environmental and engineering resources to support the project execution on all project activities across LNG and midstream natural gas pipeline projects and services.

 

This role will be involved in client business development to sell and provide a variety of environmental and engineering services that support the development and permitting of LNG and related energy projects. Services may include but not limited to, due diligence; project feasibility; natural, social, and cultural resource evaluations; regulatory permitting; marine surveys and air and noise evaluations. Our ideal candidates will have existing client relationships and a proven track record of winning work within the LNG market. The ideal candidates will be able to lead by example and understand the team's responsibilities because they have performed the same tasks in a previous role.

 

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. This position is both hybrid and remote eligible.

 

The Program Manager will lead a team of professionals in the federal and state environmental permitting process for LNG and midstream natural gas pipeline projects, provide strategic guidance on permitting challenges, ensure environmental compliance, and communicate with stakeholders.

 

This position may be fully remote or a hybrid position (remote and office). Travel to project sites and client presentations is anticipated to take up 25 percent of the overall time.

Your Role:

·         Work with existing Tetra Tech account managers, operations and market leads to expand existing client accounts.

·         Develop, sustain, and grow new LNG and natural gas pipeline clients.

·         Support building and developing a team of high performers of staff focused on LNG.

·         Lead and manage the federal and state environmental permitting process for complex LNG, natural gas pipeline, and other projects.

·         Provide strategic guidance and leadership on navigating complex permitting challenges.

·         Oversee efficient management of a team handling environmental permitting tasks.

·         Ensure environmental compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permit requirements.

·         Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, internal teams, and external organizations.

·         Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

·         Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

·         Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

·         Additional duties as required.

 

Key Duties:

·         Lead client marketing and business development activities which consists of developing and growing LNG clients, identifying new project opportunities, proposal development, technical presentations, trade show attendance, client meetings and the development of marketing materials.

·         Lead environmental and engineering teams in the development and execution of environmental permit applications for projects requiring problem-solving, creativity, and judgment.

·         Lead meetings, working groups, and individual engagements to achieve targeted regulatory outcomes.

·         Collaborate nationally across the Tetra Tech organization to identify and develop project teams to solve significant project challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in environmental science, related field, or equivalent work experience. Graduate degree is preferred.

·         Minimum 15 years of experience in federal and state environmental permitting within the oil and gas sector.

·         Strong leadership, administrative, and project management skills.

·         Existing client relationships in the oil and gas sector.

·         In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory programs for LNG terminals, midstream natural gas pipelines, and similar projects.

·         Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and programs efficiently and accurately.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software

·         Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Compensation:

Pay commensurate with experience.

Pay Range: $200K - $250K

 

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
