Tetra Tech Rooney, a Tetra Tech business unit supporting the energy industry, focusing primarily on oil and gas midstream consulting engineering, is currently seeking a Mid to Senior Electrical Engineer, in our Englewood, CO office.

Your Role:

This position provides electrical and controls design support for pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. You will participate in a multi-disciplinary project team.  A successful candidate will bring design engineering and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a proven track record of 40+ years in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Qualifications:

  • Position requires a minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, with Oil and Gas experience preferred 
  • PE license or ability to earn a PE license is required
  • Proficient with P&IDs, circuit schedules, communications, PLC panels, and loop diagrams; well versed in NFPA 70.
  • Proficient with load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and grounding. 
  • Must have field, site commissioning, and start up experience
  • Exposure to PLC programming a plus
  • Must have experience specifying and procuring equipment/instrumentation
  • Must be able to communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly and efficiently
  • Position requires strong troubleshooting skills 
  • Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to expand knowledge base, teach others, and be detail oriented
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is desired.
  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. 

 

Target salary range:  $90,000 to $125,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
