The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding a highly motivated Project Financial Analyst to support Consulting and Engineering projects primarily across the East Coast, with potential involvement in projects located in multiple states and international locations. This role plays a key part in ensuring strong financial performance, accurate reporting, and effective project controls.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • As a Project Financial Analyst, you will work closely with Project Managers, Operations leadership, and the Billing team to support financial planning, reporting, and compliance for a diverse portfolio of projects.
  • Develop pricing for professional services and Other Direct Costs (ODCs) for proposals.
  • Support Project Managers with the preparation and issuance of financial reports.
  • Perform quarterly financial reviews of major projects.
  • Coordinate with the Billing team to support timely and accurate client invoicing.
  • Lead the monthly review of project and office financials with responsible Operations Managers.
  • Prepare, maintain, and report project accruals on a monthly basis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of financial operations.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with Oracle preferred, but not required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to support projects across multiple locations with minimal travel.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work for extended periods at a computer workstation.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to participate in meetings and occasional travel as required.

 

Work Environment / Environmental Factors:

  • Primarily office-based or remote work environment.
  • Collaborative, fast-paced consulting environment supporting multiple project teams.
  • Minimal travel may be required depending on project needs.

Compensation:

Pay commensurate with experience.

Pay Range: $115,000-$125,000 yearly

 

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience and demonstrated work experience in the above role; skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role; geographic location; and education, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
