Your Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Coordinator / Quality Specialist to support our Quality Assurance (QA) team based out of our Pickering, Ontario offices. This role focuses on maintaining and improving QA processes, preparing documentation, and assisting with client-facing quality initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the QA Manager and project teams to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, CSA N299.1, CSA N286, and ASME NQA-1 requirements.

This is a highly visible role that supports both internal quality initiatives and external client meetings, making strong communication and organizational skills essential.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Quality Program Support

  • Support the implementation and continual improvement of the Nuclear Quality Management System (NQMS).

  • Review existing QA processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes in collaboration with the QA Manager.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and forms.
  • Assist with oversight reviews, internal audits, and preparation for client or regulatory audits.
  • Coordinate and manage standard maintenance activities, including renewals and purchases.

Client & Stakeholder Support

  • Assist with preparing materials, documentation, and reports for client-facing quality meetings.
  • Support Project Managers and Engineers by clarifying quality requirements and expectations.
  • Contribute to presentations and reports that demonstrate compliance and performance to clients.

Nonconformance & Corrective Actions

  • Track and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs).
  • Support the QA Manager in ensuring timely closure and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

Supplier Oversight Support

  • Support supplier quality assurance activities, including supplier qualification documentation, performance tracking, and audit preparation.

Training & Awareness

  • Assist in the preparation of training and awareness materials related to QA processes, procedures, and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Organize and oversee general rollouts for all staff to ensure awareness and adherence to updated quality processes and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 2–5 years of quality assurance, process improvement, or regulatory compliance experience (nuclear or engineering consulting preferred).
    • Familiarity with ISO 9001, CSA N299, CSA N286, or ASME NQA-1 standards is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes:

     

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with an ability to evaluate and improve processes.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to prepare professional client-facing documentation.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint; experience with quality or project management tools is an asset.
    • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Additional Information

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
