Responsibilities:

 

This is a newly created career development position with unbound personal and professional growth opportunity.  The position will be a Seller-Doer targeting a mix of clients with an emphasis on NASA, Space Exploration Commercial Clients, and Federal/DOD Agencies.  Over time, we would expect this position to leverage project and client management skills into program level management of key clients.  If you possess a proven track record of building self-sustaining programs via developing work, intimately understand aspects of government acquisition, matured relationships, and collaborating to solve complex problems, then this could be your next career move!  If you also want a position that will allow you to expand your professional development to focus on client relationships, providing leadership for project management, developing client work programs, and building client growth strategies, then this opportunity is your next career move!

We will also present the opportunity for staff mentoring and management along with developing an understanding of operations management within Tetra Tech.  You will be given the opportunity to develop strategies to help optimize and enhance business practices with the goal of developing new lines of business.

Responsibilities:
•    Develop and grow existing work with NASA and Space Exploration Commercial Clients.
•    Leverage existing relations to develop and obtain opportunities with other Federal Agencies.
•    Support on going programs and projects to maintain a reasonable level of utilization.
•    Support business development and proposal preparation as requested.
•    Leading proposal efforts from pre-solicitation to final submittal including oral interview and rate negotiation.
•    Identify and nurture strategic joint venture and small business partnerships.
•    Effectively collaborate and network with other Tetra Tech Operating Units to offer the best available resources.
•    Hire and mentor staff.
•    Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
•    Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
•    Work in a safe manner always and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
•    Additional duties as required.

Take your technical experience to the next level.  We're looking for these qualifications: 

•    BS degree in Environmental Engineering and a MS degree in Environmental Engineering,
•    Eighteen years of experience having a strong technical background with program management experience,
•    Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a high-level of self- awareness and emotional intelligence,
•    Proven record of building and leading teams that solve complex problems,
•    Willingness to listen, learn, and apply new skills,
•    Initiative to build own career and success,
•    Due to the projects that this role will participate in, US citizenship is required, 


Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

•    Occasional trips to project site locations may require that the employee walk over uneven surfaces and potentially up/down steps or hills.
•    Employee should be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

•    Most work is anticipated to be office-based; participating in some site visits is a strong possibility.  
•    Client or company meetings away from the office are likely.
•    This position will require travel by car or by air; anticipated to be approximately 10% to 20%.  Some trips will require multiple overnights stays.


Language & Communication Skills: 

•    Must be fluent in the English language, speaking, writing, and reading.
•    Must possess excellent writing capabilities and have experience generating reports suitable for submittal to clients.
•    Is expected to make verbal presentations including project summaries, technical status, reports, etc.
