Tower Health is seeking a nationally recognized physician leader in obstetrics and gynecology to serve as the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Based primarily out of Tower Health's flagship, Reading Hospital, the new Chair will also serve as Tower Health's Physician Lead for Women's Health.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Reading Hospital and the Chief Executive Officer of Tower Health Physician Enterprise, the new Chair will provide strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of the department within the Reading Hospital and Tower Health's Women's Health service line. They will strive to strengthen the academic mission and clinical excellence of the department with recruitment, retention, development, and support of outstanding clinical faculty and staff. The Chair is expected to maintain clinical practice, with allocation for administrative responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be a leader with a strong commitment to enhancing patient-centered care and community partnership. They will have the experience leading a strong, mainstream Ob/Gyn department, focused on ensuring highest quality & safety for women and adhering to evidence based best practice. They will exhibit a collaborative leadership style and possess extensive experience in navigating complex hospital environments, including experience to oversee a busy clinical service line. An M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree, board certification in obstetrics & gynecology, eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania, and credentials for an appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine are essential requirements.
