POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoice payments and maintaining financial records. This role will work collaboratively with Property Management and Client Accounting teams to process financial data for use in maintaining account records.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receive and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
Prepare and process weekly or monthly payment runs through checks, electronic transfers, or other approved payment methods.
Verify and reconcile payment batches, ensuring accuracy.
Maintain positive relationships with internal customers and provide timely responses to inquiries regarding payment status.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment documentation.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiencies within the accounts payable function.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams as necessary.
Order needed supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
Familiarity with real estate accounting software, preferably with MRI and/or Yardi.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; including Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel.
Proficiency with Adobe.
Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities with a high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities and time-sensitive, workload(s).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to internal and external customers.
Ability to keep information and internal communications confidential.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
