Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with some flexibility/occasional Saturdays Summary:  Travis Credit Union's (TCU) Human Resource (HR) Service Center Specialist plays a critical role in supporting TCU's People organization as the primary contact for employees' general questions on HR related topics. This role requires an understanding of both TCU policies and procedures in addition to general HR principles, compliance requirements, and employment laws. This role demonstrates the People organization's brand and employee value proposition through their service standards and practices. Profile: 

  • Responsible for providing service for inbound employee inquiries, offering problem solving solutions.
  • As a resource to internal People Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) [C&B, HRBP, HRMS, L&OD] providing support to ensure the success of People programs.
  • Individuals are part of a cross-functional team supporting TCU with focused areas of responsibilities (e.g., payroll, benefits, Leave of Absence (LOA) programs, HR Onboarding).
  • Responsible for administration of cross functional operational processes ensuring the success of HR service programs.
  • Through execution of established operating processes, ensures compliance with TCU policies, federal and state employment laws, and confidentiality requirements.
  • As part of TCU's internal programs and process improvements, this role may provide input and support in change management development and administration.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline and enhance HR operational processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • As HR data is the ‘source of truth', is responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of all data entry.
  • Lead the coordination of documentation and data for all HR audits.
  • Will execute operational audits for accuracy of systemic data.
  • Responsible for documentation of HR processes with ongoing review and updates.

  • Working understanding of HR principles, employment laws, FMLA, ADA, and/or HR and payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP Workforce Now (WFN), Kronos, Workforce Manager, Absencesoft, or similar platforms)
  • PC skills to include MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Analytical skills and the ability to develop and produce accurate reports.
  • Proven success in managing projects through to completion within required timeframes.
  • Proven success in tailoring and delivering communication to diverse audiences.
  • Experienced developing presentations.
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviors consistent with the credit union's core values.
  • Experience documenting processes and workflows, as well as ongoing review and updating.
Reporting and Requirements:  
  • HR Service Center Specialist – Grade 13 / Nonexempt
    • Reports to assigned management
    • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of Human Resources experience.
    • Minimum 3 year of customer service experience.
    • Business Operations experience desired. 
  • Senior HR Service Center Specialist – Grade15 /Nonexempt
    • Reports to assigned management
    • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of Human Resources experience.
    • Minimum 3 year of customer service experience.
    • Business Operations experience desired.
Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature.      Understands the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and ensures compliance through monitoring and reporting of member activity as appropriate.
      Compensation: Starting salary is commensurate with experience. In addition to our competitive benefits, this opportunity with Travis Credit Union has a range of:  
  • HR Service Center Specialist - Grade 13 : $29.99/hour - $40.12/hour
  • Sr. HR Service Center Specialist - Grade 15:  $35.64/hour - 47.67/hour
