Summary of Job Duties: The Department of Dietetics and Nutrition in the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) invites applications for a full-time (12 month) faculty position at the level of Associate Professor to begin July 2024.
The Department of Dietetics and Nutrition houses two academic programs: Master of Science Dietetics Internship (MSDI) and Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition (MSCN) . The MSCN program is offered 100% online

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in human nutrition or equivalent degree; evidence of effective teaching/mentorship to graduate students; demonstrated potential for scholarly activity, including research and publication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in human nutrition or equivalent degree
- Prior university teaching and student supervision
- Ability to develop and conduct an externally funded research program
- Experience as graduate program coordinator
- Experience with the existing program review process through the Arkansas Division of Higher Education as mandated by Arkansas Code §6-61-214.

Responsibilities
For the current position pertain to the MSCN and MSDI programs and include teaching graduate courses in the MSCN and MSDI programs; advising graduate students and directing their research projects; conducting research in nutrition; providing service to the college, university, community, and profession.
