Summary of Job Duties: A qualified anesthesia professional involved in the administration of anesthesia and related services who practices clinical under the direction of an anesthesiologist. A CRNA is responsible for the administration of anesthesia to patients when they are in need of intensive care. A CRNA must understand medical complications associated with the use of anesthesia and how to correct them. A CRNA is responsible for monitoring the well-being of the patient while under anesthesia to insure no complications arise. Other CRNA duties include: maintaining medical charts, collaborating with a team of health care professionals, including surgeons and primary care doctors, on the patients' conditions, providing post-operative patient care and evaluation, and assisting in the training of other medical personnel in CPR, anesthesia and respiratory care.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program with CRNA training in a hospital setting.
• One (1) year of CRNA experience.
• Current CRNA license
• Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (proof of these requirements may be requested at any time).

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Pediatric OR experience.
