Our affiliate, Unified Women's Healthcare of the Carolinas, is looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife to join their prestigious Women's Health Care Center in Hickory, NC. Join a compassionate group who provide a team approach to patient care. Every member of our staff is focused on making the patient experience in our office individualized and meaningful.
Certified nurse midwife (CNM) is responsible for working closely with both gynecologic and obstetric patients, assisting in births, and providing health care to women post-pregnancy. The CNM will assist with prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum care, and may also provide reproductive care, treatment, and education to female patients.
Position Highlights
* The practice has a team of 8 physicians, 3 midwives, 5 nurse practitioners and 1 physician assistant
* Practice has a solid patient base and reputation that has been built up for over 50 years of serving women in the Catawba County area
* Midwives complete about 7-8 deliveries per month
* 3 days of clinic per week with an average daily patient census of 20-24
* 1 day of call per week assisting physician team with deliveries.
* 1 weekend of call per month
* Excellent mentorship and training from the physicians and midwives
* Ability to build up own patient clinic practice within the group

Requirements
* AMCB Certified Nurse-Midwife
* Graduate of a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by ACNM Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)
* Master's degree in Nursing (MS/MSN)
* Active and unrestricted state registered nurse (RN) license
* CPR and NALS Certification
* Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
* One year of full-time experience as a CNM is preferred
* Labor & Delivery experience preferred
