Description

Job Summary

This position serves the patient care, education, and research mission of UCDH by developing reports for the Health System departments, including the Human Resource Department. Oversees security access for HR analysts. Incumbent will independently manage online and manual personnel transactions for all staff and provide UCPath support. Has oversight of the unit workload and is responsible for staff training and process documentation. Performs a wide scope of technical and analytical duties to support the day-to-day objectives and short/long-term goals of the Human Resource Department

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Enterprise-wide HRIS and Payroll systems
  • Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, systems and organizational structure, and understanding of how they interrelate. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative analysis skills to research, evaluate, interpret, and compile information to clearly define issues and recommend solutions.
  • Superior analytical skills to understand reporting need and requirements and ability to translate into specifications and/or develop reports.
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret policy and procedures, union contracts, and state and federal laws as it pertains to personnel and payroll transactions.
  • Comprehend policies and applications of a technical nature and how they apply to HRIS systems.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills to plan, coordinate, manage and set priorities effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication, diplomacy, and organizational relationships in order to handle very complex, difficult, or volatile situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all processes and communications.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with existing Union Contracts/UCD Policies/PSS/MSP 
  • Knowledge and experience of UCPath Navigation, OnBase, AggieService, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Programs, JD Expert. 
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Accreditation Audits.
