Description

Dr. Diamond Bravo is seeking one full-time Lab Assistant to begin in Winter 2024. The duration for the position will last through the academic year (2023-24) with the opportunity for renewal based on funding availability, department needs, and performance. Dr. Bravo's laboratory studies human decision-making and goal-directed behavior. The Lab Assistant will be involved in multiple aspects of work in the lab including participant recruitment and screening, data collection, programming behavioral tasks, maintenance and analysis of qualitative data, authoring posters for presentation, and authoring manuscripts for publication. The Lab Assistant will also have administrative duties, including coordinating team meetings, managing teams of research assistants, assisting with IRB and other documents, and maintaining study databases and lab documentation. The position is ideal for motivated individuals interested in pursuing an advanced degree in psychology or related fields.

The salary range for the Lab Assistant is $40,569.84 - $46,959.12 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $42,114.96 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.

Minimum Requirements Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated background and passion for research experience in cultural psychology
Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in conducting statistical analyses with MPLUS

Computer skills such as programming experience in SPSS, or a related programming language

Proficiency in written and verbal communication in Spanish
