Center for Artificial Intelligence in Diagnostic Medicine (CAIDM)
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer / Computational / Data Science, or Domain Sciences with computer / computational / data specialization or equivalent experience.
- High capacity for critical thinking and independent analysis in solving new problems
- BA degree and 3+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in radiology IT, PACS networking, and DICOM standards
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in extraction, anonymization and processing of medical images
- Expertise in developing new and improving existing automated software data pipelines
- Expertise in data provisioning including access logging, authentication and authorization
- Expertise in manipulation of high-dimensional data using Python (NumPy, scipy, skimage)
- Experience in discovering latent patterns in large datasets
- Experience with software databases such as SQL and MongoDB
- Experience with writing concise and understandable technical documentation
- Experience with source control system such as Git or Subversion
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to educate trainees and teach in an academic setting
- Demonstrated clear communication across varying audiences with range of technical skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills
- Master's degree in Computer / Computational / Data Science, or Domain Sciences with computer / computational / data specialization preferred.
- Familiarity with popular machine learning frameworks including Tensorflow, Keras or PyTorch
- Familiarity with programming languages including C/C++, Java, HTML, Javascript, Matlab
- Familiarity in common medical imaging research formats (DICOM, Nifti, Analyze, etc)
- Familiarity in image processing software (FSL, ANTs, FreeSurfer, etc)
- Familiarity in advanced imaging processing techniques (coregistration, normalization, etc)
- Experience with working within institutional research or related, higher-education area
- Familiarity with organizational software frameworks including Agile, Lean and/or Kanban
- Knowledge of UC policies and procedure Demonstrated ability to regularly, effectively communicate with unit-level management.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate research proposals and acquire funding.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization and to external research and education audiences.
- In depth skills and experience in independently resolving complex computing / data / CI problems using introductory and / or intermediate principles.
- Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced experience working in a complex computing / data / CI environment encompassing all or some of the following: HPC, data science infrastructure and tools / software, and diverse domain science application base.
- In depth ability to successfully work and / or lead multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated research and technology project leadership and management skills.
- In depth experience assessing a broad spectrum of technical and research needs and demands and establish priorities, delegate and / or lead development of solutions to meet such needs.
- Demonstrated advanced experience in one or more of the following: optimizing, benchmarking, HPC performance and power modeling, analyzing hardware, software, and applications for HPC / data / CI.
