Description

Established in 1999, the Center for BrainHealth at the University of Texas at Dallas has become one of the leading recipients of philanthropic support in North Texas for its proven research and clinical activities on improving brain performance. The Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Philanthropy & Campaigns to help with the engagement, solicitation and stewardship of existing donors and new prospects. The successful candidate will thrive in a collegial environment and help lead the philanthropy team in supporting the Center for BrainHealth's vision to unlock human potential through improved brain health and performance. This role is well-suited for someone who is very familiar with the Dallas/Fort Worth philanthropic community and who has a curiosity and warmth when connecting with new people.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field.
Three plus years relevant professional experience.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Minimum 7-10 years of overall fundraising and campaign experience;
Salesforce software experience preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Assistant Director of Philanthropy & Campaigns will work intimately with the Center's Chief Director and Philanthropy team to develop, oversee, and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to support the Center's long range strategic initiatives.

Staff a primary portfolio of major gift donors and prospects. Engage with donors and prospects during the Center's events, advisory board meetings, special dinners, and other activities. Ensure proper prospect research is prepared in advance of donor engagements and execute strategic follow-up after each activity.

Effectively build relationships with a wide array of constituents to grow annual fundraising, planned giving program, corporate and foundation giving, and special events. Focus on retention of existing donors and securing first-time donors, analyzing campaign performance and shaping future strategies.

Maximize the Center's Advisory Board involvement with time and attention to the Center's growth and forward development.

Collaborate with Philanthropy team and Marketing & Communications team to enhance the Center for BrainHealth's stewardship and donor communications activities, resulting in greater engagement between BrainHealth and its donors.

Oversee Philanthropy team members in prospective donor wealth screening, portfolio development, and philanthropy opportunity tracking in CRM system.

Represent Philanthropy team in leadership and collaborative meetings with departments across the organization, directly contributing to organizational planning and progress reporting.

Additional Information

Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work
Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and
other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within
the State of Texas (or Must be located within the DFW Area) and have the
ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
