The Jindal School of Management is seeking an Executive MBA Program Manager to work closely with the Executive MBA Director. Key responsibilities include managing projects and overseeing day-to-day operations such as tracking expenditures, handling contracts, ensuring academic compliance, planning events, and fostering student engagement. The ideal candidate will enjoy networking with prospective students, collaborating with UTD faculty and administrators, and communicating with students and alumni. Strong academic management experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive, positive attitude are essential.

The Executive MBA stands as a hallmark program within the Jindal School of Management, with a legacy of over 30 years and 900 accomplished alumni. The 21-month EMBA is designed for working professionals interested in pursuing a transformative, in-person program while minimizing time away from work and home. Classes meet face-to-face one weekend a month, bringing together a cohort of seasoned leaders with an average of 18 years of professional experience. This holistic experience includes personalized executive coaching and culminates in an enriching 10-day international student tour in the final semester.

Given the demands of balancing full-time employment with a rigorous academic schedule, the EMBA administrative team is dedicated to delivering unparalleled customer service and premium student support. This role necessitates a unique blend of expertise, professionalism, and maturity to cater to the needs of our mid-career professional cohort, ensuring their educational journey is both seamless and transformative.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree; Five to seven years experience in a field relevant to the program; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master's degree and 5-7 years of related progressive experience; established expertise in higher education developing, implementing and managing academic programs. Demonstrated record of success in building and maintaining relationships with students, alumni, faculty/staff, corporate contacts, and other stakeholders. Comfortable with international travel and leading student groups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Director of the Executive MBA (EMBA) program, representing the Director in various forums as needed.
  • Provide academic advising and support to incoming and current EMBA students.
  • Oversee projects and operational processes essential to the day-to-day functioning of the EMBA program, including providing on-site supervision during monthly class weekends.
  • Manage financial aspects of the program, including budgeting, expense tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with the Director on budget management, contracting, purchasing, and curriculum development.
  • Facilitate agreements and stipends with faculty in accordance with established rates.
  • Assist the Director in all aspects of student recruitment, admissions, and orientation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for academic-related inquiries from prospective and current EMBA students, ensuring clear communication of university policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate program offerings and course content, implementing continuous improvements as needed in collaboration with faculty.
  • Coordinate with the Director on the maintenance and updating of the EMBA program catalog.
  • Manage data collection and submission processes for AACSB accreditation and other ranking bodies.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for EMBA events, including orientations, class weekends, alumni gatherings, graduation ceremonies, and recruitment sessions.
  • Support marketing efforts and social media engagement under the guidance of the Director.
  • Assist in planning and overseeing the EMBA program's annual international study tour.
  • Foster and nurture relationships with students, alumni, faculty, university administration, and other stakeholders.
  • Navigate university policies and provide informed recommendations to EMBA staff and students.
  • Serve as a liaison between the EMBA program, full-time faculty, and adjunct faculty within the university.

Preference will be given to internal applicants.

Remote work for future availability
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (one remote day per week) work schedule, subject to business needs and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
