Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Medical Director

The University of Virginia's Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, led by Christopher M. Kramer, MD, is nationally recognized for excellence in clinical care, research, and teaching. The department seeks candidates for an Associate Professor or Professor, open track, as Medical Director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant group.
Position Details:
- Provide clinical service in outpatient clinics and on inpatient units.
- Provide clinical, administrative, research, and educational oversight.
- Participate in clinical research program.
- Engage with the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowships.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have an MD or equivalent.
- Board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and board certified or eligible in Advanced Heart Failure.
- Rank and tenure status will be determined depending upon qualifications.

We work collaboratively with faculty from many disciplines and departments in the School of Medicine, and fellows have access to highly trained physicians and staff who are deeply committed to patient care.
