We are seeking a RN PACU to be responsible for independent peri-anesthetic management of a complex, varied surgical population. We are seeking an RN PACU to: Be responsible for independent peri-anesthetic management of a complex, varied surgical population Develop a therapeutic relationship by establishing trust and enabling the patient and/or family to verbalize the requirements for care comfortably.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements: Facility Requirement: Traveler must have a permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile).
  • Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations Critical care background required.
  • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
  • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
  • Successfully completed a traveler assignment (13 weeks).
  • Licensure and Certification: Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
  • Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass the UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
  • Travelers are the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete the contract.
