<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Position Title</strong>: Clinical Crisis Intern</p> <p><strong>Location</strong>: Walk-in Center</p> <p><strong>Student Supervisor's Credentials</strong>: LCSW, LAC</p> <p><strong>Brief Program Description</strong>: The Walk-in Crisis Center serves anyone who is experiencing a self-identified behavioral health or substance use crisis. We focus on helping an individual address their immediate concerns and identify possible next steps for their well-being. All services are voluntary. We provide the following services: crisis assessments, supportive counseling, community resources, Families Reunited, and referrals to higher levels of care.</p> <p><strong>Title and Hours required</strong>: Clinical Crisis Intern, 16 to 20 hours a week, Thursdays and Fridays</p> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications and # of openings</strong>: In second year of MSW program, completed first internship and a diagnosis course. 1 opening. Professional experience in the mental health field. </p> <p><strong>Duties of Placement and Miscellaneous Information</strong>: Meet with individuals who come to the WIC for crisis services. Complete assessments and screening with individuals to determine the best service to meet their needs. Provide one-time counseling sessions, psychoeducation, and referrals as needed.</p> <p><strong>FLSA:</strong> Unpaid</p> <p>WellPower provides you with the support you need to help you develop a career in helping others succeed.
