We are committed to making a difference for our neighbors, friends, and family and our vision is to be a trusted, nationally recognized leader of innovative, collaborative community health.    The Role You'll Contribute: The CMO will participate in the overall leadership, direction, and strategy of the clinical enterprise.  As a member of Wilson Health's Executive Leadership Team, they will serve as a champion to drive clinical excellence, quality improvement, and organizational prioritization of patient safety while exceeding patient expectations for the overall care experience.  Clinical care amounts to approximately 70% and the remaining 30% is administrative and supervisory responsibilities.   The Value You'll Bring to the Team:
  • This is a full-time position which consists of approximately 30% administrative responsibility and 70% clinical patient care
  • The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the clinical activity of staff, shares in the administration functions of Wilson Health that directly impact medical services, assures the delivery of quality services to all patients, serves as liaison between medical staff and administration, and represents Wilson Health in the community
  • Advance physician engagement by developing medical staff leaders and expanding models for physician collaboration. Driving innovation and the adoption of new technologies and treatment methods to enhance patient outcomes and foster collaboration between nursing staff members, the medical staff and other clinical practitioners while maintaining effective communications with all levels of patient care personnel, the medical staff and other departments and administrative personnel.
  • Provide expertise in supporting medical staff functions such as physician credentialing, privileging, and medical staff by-laws.  Ensuring compliance with ACHC, CMS, ODH, ODMH and other regulatory standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that values and promotes employee engagement, and ensures a high level of job satisfaction while providing guidance and support to medical staff in navigating difficult patient care situations, ethical dilemmas, and other challenges
The Expertise and Experience You'll Need to Succeed:
  • To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong background in medicine, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality healthcare.
  • Possesses a Medical degree (MD or DO). An advanced degree in health care administration, business administration, and/or public health is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience, education/training as a successful physician leader (e.g., medical director or similar role) within a progressive hospital and health care system. 
  • At least five years of recent, post-graduate clinical experience where a considerable amount of time was focused on measurable improvements in quality, safety, performance improvement and patient experience.
