Employment Status: Full Time        Position Reports To: Executive Director of Wilson Health Medical Group   SUMMARY: The Medical Director is a clinical leader responsible for providing medical oversight and direction to all clinical aspects of Wilson Health Medical Group outpatient practices.  They promote, monitor and report performance relative to quality, safety and experiences.  They also oversee the provider leadership council.   Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
  • Provide medical oversight and direction to all clinical aspects of Wilson Health Medical Group outpatient practices.
  • Promote, monitor, and report group and individual performances relative to quality of care, patient safety, patient experience and clinical risk management.
  • Develop and supervise consistent distribution of scorecards/dashboards for the practices and direct care providers relative to quality metrics.
  • Oversee the provider leadership council
  • Assist the Executive Director of WHMG to resolve any medical type issues/concerns.
  • Continue to provide medical liaison services for information technology.
  • Boost internal organizational relationships
  • Pursue innovative care delivery models
  • Collaborating with CMO, Executive Director and Physician Recruiter in coordinating the recruitment and retention efforts for WHMG.
  • Provide medical oversight as appropriate to the overall delivery of care by serving on relevant hospital/medical staff committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical leadership role.
  • Current Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) license with the Medical Board through the State of Ohio required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Be a visionary leader who encourages esprit de corps and generates excitement through his/her strategic vision, personal charisma, and sense of leadership.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of practice operations and financial management principles. 
  • Demonstrate evidence of the leadership, business, management, and financial skills necessary to manage WHMG. 
  • Exhibit a management style that emphasizes communication, collegiality, flexibility, and the ability to work with a diverse, highly qualified clinical staff.
  • Be able to plan and delegate assignments, review work, and appropriately supervise. 
  • Be highly accomplished in interpersonal diplomacy and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians, staff members, and Wilson Health Administration.
