Job Overview: Under general direction from the Director of Poker Operations oversees the Poker Room. Facilitates a fun, friendly environment for guests while protecting games and ensuring state compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the Poker Department and provides protection for games while providing friendly, excellent service to every guests. 
  • Ensures appropriate and professional care and service are provided to guests
  • Assists with scheduling and related duties.
  • Ensures that all policies, procedures and gaming regulations are adhered to and consistently followed.
  • Document and relay daily operations.
  • Tracks players when necessary.
  • Responsible for management of staff on the shift
  • Responsible for consistently coaching staff on the shift
  • Responsible for training of staff.
  • Responsible for problem resolution throughout the assigned shift
  • Monitors seating lists
  • Opens and closes poker games
  • Maintains production and appraises employee's productivity and efficiency
  • Monitors game activity and ensures company / state compliance
  • Ensures the protection and integrity of all games, currency, chips, playing cards and other assets on the floor
  • Maintains a bank for use on dealer fills and buy-ins.
  • Reviews and maintains the necessary records pertaining to the activities of the shift
  • Monitors and manages staffing levels and optimizes utilization of poker tables
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • High School diploma or GED– required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field AND two (2) years Supervisory experience– required
    • OR Four (4) years' experience in a Management position– required
    • OR Three (3) years' experience in a Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality– required
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
  • Three (3) years' of experience working in poker room operations- required.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of poker rules and game protection skills
  • Must be able to obtain the appropriate state occupational license
  • Must be familiar with all poker room concepts, practices and procedures
  • Relies on experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a valid and current State Driver's License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
  • Must have a Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
