This position is with NYK Group America's Inc.
The purpose of this position is to lead the implementation and management of the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) service, ensuring efficient data exchange with trading partners. This role includes overseeing a team of EDI specialists, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with internal departments and external parties to understand data requirements, and optimizing EDI processes to meet industry standards.

· Manage daily EDI operation, staff, and projects
· Report on demand capitalized hours to internal customers (i.e. NGA RORO BPM and/or NGE RORO BPM)
· Provide timely, accurate, and thorough project status updated to key internal/external stakeholders.
· Review and understand customers' EDI requirements
· Schedule and attend meetings with EDI customers and NYK business groups (NGA RORO, NGE RORO, CAR BPM, NBST, NBSE, etc.)
· Manage EDI-related ServiceNow change requests according to NBSA ITSM's processes
· Review and approve relevant purchase requests.
· Manage team and associated responsibilities such as; task assignment, issue/conflict resolution, project planning with the team, provide guidance (team/project related), prepare and deliver staff appraisals, resource on/offboarding, resource access requests
· Comply with in-office attendance schedule.
· Attend meetings in person (i.e. project kick-off meetings, Tokyo management townhall, business visitors, company events, etc.)
· Provide input to the monthly NBST dashboard meetings (collect project status details
· Ensure the monthly resource report generated by ServiceNow is accurate and take steps necessary to correct it when action is needed.
· Produce and deliver presentation communicating summary of EDI projects (completed, current, and future) to senior Tokyo management team as requested.
· Manage daily EDI operations
· Monitor EDI alerts and address as appropriate
· Request and maintain developer access to Azure in support of GHub
· Request and maintain user access to BAM (regular or admin rights)
· Request and maintain user access in GHub database in Azure
· Troubleshoot GHub issues
· Work with appropriate team(s) on GHub firewall rules for outbound GHub messages
- Technical proficiency in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and related
technologies. - Leadership and team management skills to effectively guide and support a team of EDI
specialists. - Analytical skills to develop and implement strategies for optimizing EDI processes.
- Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for EDI.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal departments and external
partners. - Ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training
- 7+ years of related technical knowledge
- 5+ years of managing a hybrid-remote staff
