POSITION: Merchandising Technology Manager, eCommerce

LOCATION: St. Petersburg, FL (SalonCentric National Operations Center)

 

SUMMARY:

The Merchandising Technology Manager bridges Merchandising, Pricing, and Digital Product/IT, leveraging technology to optimize strategies and drive growth. This role requires deep e-commerce merchandising expertise, encompassing procedures, promotions, and SKU management. This individual ensures operational excellence of online promotions and taxonomy, troubleshoots issues, enhances user experience, maximizes platform tools (sorting, categorization rules, etc.), and possesses a strong omni-channel mindset. Crucially, this role identifies and implements process improvements for team efficiency and customer experience effectiveness. Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills are essential, along with detail-orientation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the go-to resource for merchandising systems/processes, guiding and supporting cross-functional teams. Troubleshoot merchant issues concerning products, promotions, and categories, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Promotional Efficacy: Analyze underperforming promotions, identifying technical and business issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Pricing, Promotional Planning, etc.) to implement solutions enhancing effectiveness and profitability. Ensure promotions are technically sound and financially successful.
  • Online Merchandising Optimization: Enhance online shopping by leveraging merchandising capabilities (categorization rules, attributes, sorting rules). Maximize existing features, address usage gaps, and test approaches to optimize customer engagement and user experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, contributing to discussions and facilitating clear communication for shared understanding and project success. Translate complex information for all audiences.
  • Process Improvement & Training: Continuously evaluate/improve merchandising technology processes. Collaborate with merchandisers to identify pain points and streamline workflows. Develop and deliver training to empower merchandisers in utilizing optimized processes and technologies.
